Everytime

It's been a while so here goes with the update;

JOB 1 - Going well. It's been a busy week on the show and calls and texts are coming in thick and fast.

JOB 2 - ROOTS is coming up soon so my life is pretty manic with that. It's gonna be a great weekend.

SPRING HARVEST - We had a great week at SH this year. We were part of a quality team and it was nice to hang out with old friends whilst getting to meet some new people too. Had some great chats and some really challenging moments personally which is good.

CHURCH - We continue to go to Chelmsford SA Corps. Our cell group is going really well and we meet monthly for a cool new emerging prayer thing. It's all good.

FRIENDS & FAMILY - All well, got to hang with dad for a few minutes the other evening which was cool. Haven't seen Si in a while so hoping to rectify that soon. The same goes for Ads and mum. Catching up with Graham & Kirsten next weekend. And had a great meal and chat with Mick & Lynn last night which was really lovely.

NEW STUFF - Experienced my first 'freebie' this week with two great tickets to see Wicked courtesy of a promotions company who advertise on my station and were hosting a press night. The night was great and we'd have loved to go to the part afterwards but my body would have imploded if i'd stayed up any longer. Also been sending out DVD showreels to TV agents and companies. SO far everything is coming back very nice but 'no'. I've been holding off on TV stuff for lots of reasons, but it's time to push on now and rejection is a huge part of that.

That's it I think. The MTV thing I blogged about here is going out this week, it's been really interesting to watch and I made it into their "best auditions" reel which is cool for my first effort.

I think that's it for now.

Skiing - some reflections

We're now back to normality (our code for me being permanently exhausted).

Skiing was amazing!

A couple of injuries and a few doses of sunstroke but overall we return unscathed and having loved every minute of it. Some highlights;

1. The roadtrips. The way there was started with a 5 hour delay and the way back was A 5 hour drive for Chrissy but it was really lovely to spend time with Matt and Chell. We see each other a lot but real time together is sometimes hard to come by. It was great.

2. The views. I blogged the one from our bedroom but that doesn't even begin to sum up the sights of a skiing holiday. Amazing!

3. The company. Catching up with Roland and Joan was, as always, a treat. Roland has great taste in coffee and cheese (except for that one......you know which one I mean). Getting to know Adrian, Nic and Isaac was brilliant and hopefully we'll get to spend more time with them soon. And meeting Scuba Steve was great. He's a great guy and we had a lot of laughs. (I've already mentioned Matt & Chell but they are great holiday buddies).

4. Learning to ski. I took a while to get going, then got going too much then got scared and had to get going again then got going and loved it.

5. Isaac. He is 2 years old and is great fun to be around. He has terrible taste in movies (Charlottes Web 2 was either a bet by or a punishment to an animator) but has a great little personality and made us all smile.

6. EuroDisney. It was our second visit in 6 months but it was great. We missed Space Mountain and I can't do the stupid Buzz Lightyear thing but it was a cool day.

7. "Bleh de blah - Ble de blah" Okay you won't get this without being there but imagine a 2 year old offering 2 pieces of fruit and asking us each to choose one of the two each......yeah it makes no sense but it was very cool.......someone who was there back me up.

There are loads more but one more that stands out

8. My beautiful wife. It was great to not get up early, to spend our days together, to learn something new together, to have fun together.......loads more. She's amazing and I don't deserve her but I am blessed and grateful to have her.

Great holiday.
