It's not show-friends

The last 5 or 6 days have been a strange collection of experiences;

On Friday night we went into London to celebrate the birthday of Mel Wiggins. It was lovely to catch up with Mel and Dave and hang out with friends we see loads and others we see not enough.

Saturday, Chris was at a hen do so I was all alone with a day to spend so I got some work on a project done in the morning, hung out with Seth (Simon and Beth) in the afternoon and then went to town to meet Ruth. Having bought some skinny jeans and a coffee we were getting ready to head to the cinema when Ruth got a call to say there were 2 tickets for The Secret Policeman's Ball going if we wanted to go. It started at 7pm and it was now after 6pm!! We rushed home, got ready and drove to London.

Bendy buses and traffic lights are rubbish!!!!

We arrived 50 minutes late but the gig was great and afterwards we headed downstairs to the party where we ended up chatting to a guy called Ben who invited us to go and see Never Mind The Buzzcocks get filmed on Tuesday. We went along to that on Tuesday evening and it was a very funny evening.

It's been an interesting look into this world that I'm trying to get into and I have loads of thoughts running round my head about it all, maybe I'll blog them one day, maybe not.

If you're really interested to find out more why not invite me out for a coffee (I'll pay, I get a discount - and you thought the media had perks!!).

Come to the Faroe Islands and I'll shout you the coffee...

But seriously, I got on to national TV within a week of being here... Maybe you're concentrating on the wrong market ;)

Hey mate,

Love hearing the random stuff you get up to. I'd love to invite you for coffee but it takes 3.5hours to get here by car!

Probably not worth it. Therefore, you and Chris are invited for a weekend instead!

Come visit sometime.

Bless ya.

PS. Lovin your passion in pursuing this new direction of work. Hang in there mate. Have you seen 'how to lose friends and alienate people'? Great little movie about trying to keep it real in the world of meda, celebrity etc. Worth a watch.

Am sitting here watching Buzzcocks at the moment! I'm not that far away so if you want to meet for a coffee one lunchtime then let me know!
